The Canadian National Do Not Call List (DNCL) came into effect on September 30, 2008. The National DNCL is only for personal telephone numbers. Telemarketing calls to numbers used for business are exempt from the National DNCL Rules. Nevertheless, as a buyer of sales leads, it is considered good practice for you to maintain an internal list of prospects that wish to opt out of unsolicited sales activities.
